My Pamper Session Essentials! - Macadamia Deep Repair Masque, Babescrub, Lush Fresh Face Mask

I’m aaaall about taking out time for myself to pamper myself and treat myself. Ever since I started bleaching my hair, I needed to make time to do a hair masque. After that, I started doing a face mask at the same time, and I found that gorgeously relaxing. So I started delving into the world of body scrubs and Clarisonics, and began taking about an hour or two out of every Sunday night to thoroughly cleanse and scrub and detoxify. I usually settle down with a good book, or stick on the tv for an hour or so and allow my face and hair mask to work their magic. So, what are my top 3 pamper essentials?

Hair: Macadamia Deep Repair Masque
I'll always start by washing my hair with whichever shampoo I'm using at the time, so in the most previous case, it's the Goldwell DualSenses Rich Repair Shampoo, and then smooth on a really generous and thick layer of the Macadamia Masque over my hair. I absolutely love this hair masque; it is my holy grail product for keeping my dry, split and frizzy bleached hair under control. It leaves my hair feeling incredibly smooth (something I hadn't experienced truly for years!) and adds a bit of healthy sparkle and shine. I did a full review on this hair masque if you wanted to know more (here), but it's amazing and I adore it.

Face: Lush Cosmetics Cupcake Fresh Face Mask
OH. MY. GOD. I have an upcoming review on this product, and I'm literally dying to write it, but I'm waiting until I've used it a few more times so I can be really fair, but so far I'm really loving it! I give my face a quick whizz over with my trusty Clarisonic, which I use every night anyway, and then I whack on a couple of small scoops of this baby, and massage it into my skin and make sure it's thick and even. This one smells incredible and really cleanses and removes the oils from my face. When you wash it off, you can even rub it in circular motions to exfoliate. Ah-mazing. Definitely watch out for my full review on the mask!

Body: The BabeScrub No.1 Green Tea Body Scrub
This scrub, and every scrub from the Babescrub range for that matter, is amazing, and sooo luxurious. It's perfect for that special Sunday evening pamper and you really feel like you've got rid of that week's worth of grime and grossness. It does a beautiful job of exfoliating, smoothing and nourishing your skin. The Green Tea one is also meant to target spots and blemishes on the skin, which I've unfortunately got a whooole load of at the minute! I love the scrubs so much I did a huge long review of all three, which you can check out here!

  1. Look forward to your full review on the Lush face mask! I've just done a Lush haul and got both the cupcake version, and the oatifix, so I'll be doing a review soon too! Glad to hear somebody else has had a positive experience with it!

    1. Oooh sounds amazing! I've only recently jumped on the Lush bandwagon, but seriously after trying this mask I'm hooked and I've got an online basket full of stuff! I'll check out your blog for the reviews :) x

  2. I am absolutely in love with every Lush face mask I've used including this one! They just get it so right. I'm all about pampering as well although for my hair (I'm a dyed redhead and dye my hair about once a month) my favourite mask is actually a DIY. Well sort of, haha. It's just plain yoghurt that has no extra ingredients in it and I put that in my hair from root to tip, leave it in for 20+ mins (doesn't matter how long you leave it in for). I swap doing that with doing a in-shower moisture mask and my hair feels absolutely amazing! Let me know if you try it :)
    Great post!

    1. Oh wow, I've never heard the yoghurt DIY mask! I got told that egg yolks are great for dry hair, but I've still not tried it. Thanks for the tip! :) xx
