Perfect Kylie Jenner 90's Nude Lip

No, I wasn’t cryogenically frozen and missed the initial hype about the Kylie Jenner 90’s lip. I was actually all over it, but managed to lose my pictures amongst all the rubbish on my laptop so couldn’t write this post until much much later! Regardless of my latecoming to this 90’s lip party, I wanted to share with you what I think is a gorgeous take on the darker nude lip for paler girls like me.

I paired MAC’s lip pencil in Subculture with MAC Lipstick in Faux. The liner is a gorgeous mid pink/beige nude, and Faux is a deep mauvey browny pink with a pretty satin finish. I overdraw the lips slightly using Subculture, rounding out the lower lip and slightly going over the lines on my cupid’s bow. Then I applied Faux straight from the tube (who has time for lipstick brushes? Not I!) For added poutiness, I like to use a bronzer on an eyeshadow crease brush underneath my bottom lip, as it adds a shadow to make your lips look much fuller.

I’ve been wearing this almost everywhere, and it looks best with a subtle grey/black smokey eye. I’ve also invested in the 90’s tattoo choker! I’m loving the grunginess of it all, what do you think?
