Prepare
yourselves for another rant and a half about an absolutely amazing haircare
product I’ve stumbled upon! I’m no stranger to BLEACH London; a fabulous,
quirky and grungy haircare brand which are most famous for their temporary hair
colours. I’ve already tried a fair few of the dyes (read my review on Violet Skies here (Link)) and absolutely loved them. BLEACH London
also specialise in haircare for blondes with toners, bleach kits and
reconstructive masks (review Link) in their range too. Since I’ve had blonde
hair for ever and I’m currently trying to get an ashier/greyer shade, I decided
I’d stray away from my usual purple shampoo and try BLEACH’s offering!
I’d
like to start by saying that I love the packaging for these products. The dye,
shampoos and conditioners each come in these awesome screw-top bottles with the
gaudy graphic design label. They may not be the most convenient, but they sure
look good in your bathroom! The bottle size is 200ml; ample for a good month or
so’s worth of washing. For £5, it’s no money at all, so I was eager to trial
out this shampoo and see if it could ‘banish the brassiness’ from my blonde.
The
shampoo itself is probably one of the most pigmented purple shampoos I’ve ever
seen. Even though it’s called a ‘silver’ shampoo, the product is a deep violet
which actually made me wary of leaving it on for too long the first time I
tried it. It’s similar in colour to the Pro:Voke Touch Of Silver Brightening
Shampoo (review), but spreads and lathers a whole lot better. It doesn’t have
an overly powerful smell, and it seemed gentle enough on my skin. Just be
careful about this running into your eyes, girls and guys! Take it from me!
As you
can see from the image (and I’m absolutely gutted I didn’t take a ‘before’
picture) the shampoo works incredibly well to create a silvery, ashy shade of
bleached blonde hair. I didn’t actually expect it to work so well! My hair
before had quite obvious streaks of more gold-blonde which were visibly
neutralised after one wash. I left it on for about 5 minutes, but I’m careful
to alternate with a normal shampoo between washes to avoid a bright purple
colour build-up. Overall though, I’m so impressed with this shampoo, it’s a
firmly welcome and much loved addition to my haircare collection. No more brassiness
for me!
Have you tried this Silver Shampoo by BLEACH London?
Which is your favourite purple shampoo?
Lots of love,

I've add more blonde put in my hair but due to my natural hair colour there's a limit on how light it goes and it's really brassy and I want it light so I'm gonna buy this as it sounds perfect and I've tried touch of silver which is great but not strong enough

How would you say this compares to the provoke twice a week brightening shampoo? I read both reviews as I have bleached balayage ends that keep creeping back to milky brassy yellow and am looking for a fix! Have tried the provoke twice a week shampoo and intensive conditioners and the fabuloso and scott cornwall platinum conditioners as i don't want to attempt any toners that require developer by myself between top ups!
