I’ve been such an
incredibly lucky girl over the past few days. The bank holiday weekend saw my
21st birthday pass, and I had an amazing weekend with my nearest and
dearest in the sunshine. On my actual birthday (Tuesday the 31st
May), my Dad and my boyfriend Chris set me loose in Exeter and I shopped until
I dropped. I’m so so so lucky and so grateful for all the amazing gifts I
received and all the stuff I was able to buy with my birthday money, so I
thought I’d share them with you!
Topshop
From Topshop I knew I
needed some new jeans, and I’d had my eye on a MOTO black denim jacket. I’m
also completely obsessed with crop tops, so it’d be a crime not to stop by the
jersey crops and grab a new couple. After a little bit of pondering, I settled
on…
MOTO Oversized Denim Jacket | £45.00
Super comfy, will go with most
outfits and looks slouchy and grungey. This jacket has been on my wishlist for
ages, and I’ve needed a black denim jacket for a long long time. Box ticked!
MOTO Washed Black Joni Jeans | £36.00
It’s always time for a new pair of jeans! I decided
not to get ripped knee ones as I already have a pair, and I’ll be starting my
new job soon and will need some smart-ish black jeans.
'90s Racer Vest Black| £6.00
‘90s Racer Vest White | £6.00
These are surprisingly
flattering on me. Sometimes high neck crops can look a bit strange, but these
look awesome. And obviously, when you find a style that suits you, you need it
in every colour!
MAC
I was lucky enough to receive a
MAC gift card for my 21st from my step-grandma. I originally thought
I’d use it for a new face powder, but then I fell in love with a new matte
lipstick instead.
MAC Lipstick in Taupe | £15.50
So I’m a die-hard 90’s lipstick
fan, and I always gravitate towards matte shades. I’ve got a nice little
collection going at the moment, but Taupe was the missing link, and now I’ve
got the best 90’s lipstick collection evaaaaaa!
MAC Lip Pencil in Whirl | £12.50
I’m a proud owner of the Whirl
lipstick, but I felt like I should complete the little kit with the matching
lip pencil. It’s perfectly matte, and will help me apply the lipstick a little
less haphazardly.
theBalm
theBalm Nude Dude Eyeshadow Palette | £29.99
I’ve always eyed up theBalm’s
products and lusted after them. I didn’t even realise they were stocked in
Superdrug until recently! This palette is everything I usually go for, but hey
ho. It’s full of beautiful cocoa-ey bronzes and neutrals. 100% my thing and
something I’m so excited to try!
Boots
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth
Cleanser | £15.50
In the name of all that is
holy, I have been craving this face wash for the longest time! I’ve been in
love with the pastel packaging and the beautiful, delicate creaminess of the
wash for about 6 months. I’ve already had one cheeky use of it, and it is
delicate and fresh and the muslin cloths are super duper beautiful. Full review
to come very soon!
Benefit Cosmetics Rollerlash Mascara | £19.50
I love Benefit, and I’ve tried
They’re Real in the past, but Rollerlash seemed like the next logical move on
my Benefit journey. I don’t actually know too much about it, but the packaging
really had me sold. It’s so pretty, and apparently it’s a really popular
product!
Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow Eyebrow Gel | £18.50
This is a repurchase for me.
It’s the only product I ever use to do my eyebrows. I’m quite lucky in the
eyebrow department, really, as they’re thick and bushy. I don’t ever pluck
them, and I’ve got no idea about ‘brow game’. The Gimme Brow is my trusty tool
to get them looking even and tamed, though. It’s my number one!
Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot Powder | £12.00
I am almost bombarded with Soap
& Glory, and I adore everything about the brand. Their product names are
hilarious, their bath and body products are luxurious and their makeup is
effective. I decided to try this powder to help mattify my makeup, and as a
more affordable alternative to MAC’s Studio Fix Powder.
Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner Carbon
Black Extreme| £6.00
Again, another repurchase! I
adore Supercat. It’s my ultimate favourite liquid eyeliner pen. It’s super
pigmented and the tip is flexible enough to create sharp flicks. It’s the best
eyeliner ever, and so easy to pick up on the high street.
Urban Outfitters
This one doesn’t even need
explaining, I’m sure. These stunning sets have been popping up all over
Pinterest, Instagram and Tumblr, and they’ve become almost too much to resist.
I had a lounge about in mine last night while I edited my birthday VLOG, and I
can’t even tell you how comfy and sexy they are. 10/10 Calvin!
New Look
This is something that caught
my eye a few weeks back, but I wasn’t 100% sure. When I saw it shopping
yesterday, I thought it looked lovely and very stereotypical blogger and
youtuber! I think it’s pretty and girly, and will be easy to dress up or down.
I’m planning a LookBook video soon, and this will definitely feature in it.
Happy belated birthday! Looks like you picked up some great bits!
