IN LOVE WITH LIQUID LIPSTICK | NYX EMBELLISHMENT

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m having a reeeeal love affair with matte liquid lipsticks. I’m not sure when I’m going to get over it, but at the moment, I’m constantly fantasising about which colour I’m buying next and parting with a fair old bit of ca$h dolla. If it’s not the sleek tubes, the doe-foot applicators (which have grown on me soooo much since I began wearing these) or the perfect matte finish, then it’s the fact that all my favourite bloggers and youtubers are using new, different ones. I’m tempted by liquid lippies at almost every turn, but my new favourite is NYX’s Lingerie Embellishment.

I’ve tried the NYX Lingerie Lipsticks before, but Embellishment was the shade I’d wanted but wasn’t able to find in stock anywhere. On a recent trip to the huuuge Boots in Westfield Stratford, I managed to grab one of the very last ones from the NYX Counter. Yep, squeal, shriek and collapse on the spot because NYX are finally opening UK counters up!

I’d describe Embellishment as a dusty plum shade. It’s also quite an ashy colour, rather than a warm toned purple like I’m used to. But, as you may know if you read my blog regularly, I’m quite partial to the odd grey toned lippy. I actually find it compliments my skintone and I’m loooving this shade now that the weather has become arctic in the UK. (OK, 9 degrees isn’t arctic but I’m certainly considering going to uni in my onesie most mornings.) It’s a great colour for Autumn/Fall and quite unusual and eye catching. I have had a fair few compliments and people are always asking what lipstick I’m wearing when I’ve got this one on.

For only £6.50, yep…£6.50!!! *dies because of unfathomable euphoria* you can purchase your very own tube of happiness. That is, if you can find it in stock anywhere. At such an affordable price, I’m not sure why I don’t own every single shade of this range by NYX. To be honest, most of the other shades don’t appeal to me, but I definitely have my eye on one or two others.
