NARS ALL DAY LUMINOUS WEIGHTLESS FOUNDATION REVIEW | BEFORE + AFTER

If we could just ignore the state of my eyebrows for the next five minutes while you read this blog post, I’d love you forever. And let this be a lesson to you all; don’t let your drunk friends pluck your eyebrows after a boozy night out. Moving swiftly on (and never mentioning the brows of despair again), I’ve fallen head over heels in love with something. I’m cheating on my number one love, NARS Sheer Glow foundation with none other than NARS’s newest foundation; Luminous Weightless Foundation.

It took me a good year to even pick this up in the first place. It takes a lot for me to willingly part with thirty odd quid, and in doing so, I expect the cream of the bloody crop. Luckily for me, NARS has never ever disappointed me, and their newest foundation is just as incredible as everything I’ve tried from them before.

The first thing I really noticed about this foundation is that LO AND BEHOLD, IT HAS A PUMP. I begrudged spending money on a pump for my Sheer Glow, so I was really pleased to see this handy little addition to the packaging. The next thing I noticed was just how liquidy the formula is. It’s so watery and runny, it had almost dripped off my hand before I could grab hold of my brush. Overall, I’d say a blender sponge works better than a brush with this foundation, as the brushes I use seemed to soak a lot of the formula up. *no, precious foundation, nooooo!*

I was matched a different shade this time, and since it was the middle of autumn/winter, and I was resembling a blank sheet of A4 paper, I ended up with the shade Deauville. It’s the 4th from palest, and seems to have quite warm, yellowy undertones. It’s beautiful though, and a really good match for my wintery skin. The above picture shows only the foundation applied on my skin, so fear not, I’m not leaving the house regularly with that ghostly complexion.

It’s super duper light on my skin, really thin and comfortable, and I barely even know it is there. The coverage is, I’d say, medium. There’s definitely room for some concealer and a good helping of powder to get rid of all my spots and redness. As far as longevity goes, I’d struggle to fill you in on that, given I’ve only worn this out on special occasions so far and have therefore ended up too drunk to notice what it looks like by the end of the night.

This has quickly become my absolute favourite foundation, though I try to wear it rarely so I don’t waste it. Thirty one pounds is apparently the price we must pay for comfortable, luminous, airbrushed skin! Having a bit of NARS slapped on my face always gives me a confidence boost and a bit of a luxe feeling, so it’s a brand I’ll always think is worth the investment.

Have you tried the NARS Luminous Weightless Foundation? What are your thoughts?

Lots of love,
Jasmine x
