Life is FAR too short to commit to only one eyeshadow palette. I seem to have made it my personal mission to collect every eyeshadow under the sun (except a few pesky ones that I cry over not owning every time I venture into my makeup drawer). I do try to use every palette that I own, and always make an effort to use them up before buying more - which never happens tbh. But saying that, there’s always a few palettes in my collection that I always come back to. I wanna tell you aaaaall about why I adore The Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette, the Urban Decay Naked Palette, and the Nude Dude palette by thebalm.
thebalm Nude Dude Palette
This one offers the most beautiful, but almost unconventional range of nude eyeshadows. You’ve got your typical taupes and bronzes, but you can also expect to find some peachy tones, a rose toned pink and a deep burgundy shade too. As with all the best eyeshadow palettes, you’ve got shimmers and mattes, and the pigmentation is absolutely spot on - as you’d expect if you’re spending £30 on a palette from Superdrug. Having said that, it’s actually really handy because Superdrugs are eeeeverywhere, and it means you can try it out in the shop before you invest your cash.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette
Honestly my absolute favourite eyeshadow palette that has ever existed, and you’ll have seen it splashed across Instagram so many times now, these pictures will probably bore you to tears. The pinks, reds, oranges, golds and browns are the best quality eyeshadows I’ve ever tried. I’ve owned this beauty for over a year now, and I’ve barely scratched the surface of the shades because they are so bloody pigmented. And, for once in my life, I actually loved the little brush that came with the palette. I normally loathe and detest any brushes that come with a palette, but ABH’s offering was a really useful fluffy crease brush on one end, and a thick and dense lid brush on the other end. Mine came from CultBeauty and cost me £43. Considering I lived on beans on toast for a week after splurging on this, I’d say it was money well spent!

Urban Decay Naked Palette
Ah me old faithful. I love this palette like I love my first ever pair of Doc Martens. I was bought this as a ‘well done’ for finishing my revision for my exams during my final year at school, which was 4 (FOUR?! *heart palpitations*) years ago. It’s a cult product that was on my radar for what seemed like ages, and I immediately fell in love with it when I opened it up. Every single shade is wearable, beautiful, flattering and super high-pigmented. I’m a lover of a pinky shade in my nude palettes - in case you hadn’t noticed - and the shades Toasted and Hustle are two of the prettiest rose-nudes you ever did see.

I recently bought the ABH Modern Renaissance palette and it's fast becoming my favourite too! Also can't fault the Naked palettes! You've now tempted me to look at thebalm palette; some lovely neutral shades!
