MAC Studio Fix Fluid
Genuinely the most disappointing foundation I’ve ever used. It was one of the first foundations I bought and I splurged loads and was so excited - but my colour wasn’t matched correctly, it feels like smearing toddler diarrhoea all over my face, and it literally melts off unless set with 4 inches of translucent powder.
MAX Factor Creme Puff Pressed Powder
It’s such a hideous powder. You can barely get any product on the brush, to start with. Then, it’s so dark and left my base looking patchy and muddy.

Honestly, just got it as a free gift with an online order and never picked it up. But it looked way too dark for me, and was packed full of glitter and didn’t look like it’d be my thaaang.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm
Not the best formula for me, which is sad because they work for sooo many other people. I’ve been spoiled by liquid lipsticks, and anything with less staying power is never gonna cut the mustard. Plus it was always a bit too pink.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese
So I wanted something to create the whole ‘doe eyed’ look, but this pencil has a strong shimmer and made me look like I was rocking about with a severe case of conjunctivitis. Not cute.

Quite liked it when I first bought it last year, but since spoiling myself with Stila Extreme Lash Mascara and Too Faced Better Than Sex, this is pretty cruddy in comparison.
Collection EXTREME 24hr Felt Tip Liner
I actually couldn’t believe I pulled this crusty, dry, FIVE YEAR OLD liner out of my drawer. But, to be fair, it is the liner I learned to do flicks with because it is so affordable. Again, I’ve since upgraded to Soap & Glory Supercat and Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, so this one isn’t as good for me anymore.
Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow
This was never a good idea, why did I buy this? Cream eyeshadows are the work of Satan. When they invent time travel I will use it to slap this out of my hand in Boots before I can part with seven quid.
If these products work for you, then you must actually be the messiah because I now hate them all with a fiery passion. Most of it was stuff I’ve been hoarding since the early makeup days, when quantity most definitely came before quality products. I feel so good to have chucked these bits out.
After, I heard about a campaign called Give and Makeup that is asking for donations of makeup, toiletries, bath and body products in order to support Refuge and Women’s Aid in London and Cardiff. If you guys are thinking of decluttering soon, please consider offering your unwanted bits to charity. I definitely would have donated some of the bits if I had heard about the Give and Makeup campaign beforehand!
