OUT FOR LUNCH | OUTFIT OF THE DAY

Incredibly, I managed to put an *actaul* outfit together last weekend. I headed out for a stroll around Blackheath, an obscenely gorgeous lunch at Café Rouge and a trip to Wilko for a little homeware shop. You may have seen a few pictures of said outfit popping up on Instagram (probably more than a few, soz) (I was feeling myself) and I wanted to share the outfit details with you!

TOP: Petite Mia V Neck Bardot Crop Top // £6 // Boohoo
So this top is an absolute steal, and I’ve (rather shamefully) got four of them in three different colours. It’s my go-to crop top, and goes with sooo many things. Boohoo does a regular fit, and a petite fit which is slightly shorter on the torso. I’m 5’2” and I prefer to go for the petite cut, as then it actually looks like a crop top. I found that the Bardot cut of the top looked reeeeally flattering when paired with the trousers.

TROUSERS: Black Tweed Check Paperbag Skinny Trousers // £15 // Pretty Little Thing
Oh. Hell. Yeah. I have been agonising over whether to buy these trousers or not. I’ve seen similar trousers on some of my favourite fashion Instagram accounts, but because I’m on the shorter side, I wasn’t sure how flattering they’d be on me. But, for £15, I reckoned it was worth the gamble. I chose a size 8 and was seriously freaking out about not being able to get into them, but they have a little bit of stretch so they’re fine, and make the booty look FAN TAS TIC. The tie-waist feature makes it easy to suck the waist in by tying it up really tight. Who needs to breathe? Not I!

SHOES: (Not pictured!) Vagabond Dioon Elastic Chelsea Boots // £89.99 // Office
I never realised my feet were cut off in the images, which really pissed me off. You’ll have to take my word for it! I rolled up the bottoms of the trouser leg, which were still slightly long on me, and chucked the boots on. These boots are really comfy to walk in because they’re on a slight platform. They add a few inches of height, and I think they look really good with the trousers.

Well, it’s official. Paperpag trousers are the new best thing. They hide any post-winter-lumpy-tummy action and can be tied really tight to create a defined waist. A bit annoyed I hadn’t discovered this secret before!

Will you be trying a pair?

Lots of love,
Jasmine x

  1. Love this outfit! The pants look fab on you! I've considered getting some similar but I've got no shape and a long torso so I'm not confident they'll work :')
