COSY WINTER BITS WITH FEMME LUXE FINERY

Well, howdy doody, and isn’t it bloody baltic? I’m sitting here, propped up in bed in my dressing gown, with a cup of tea and three blankets and still shouting for someone to turn the heating up. It was a positively tropical -2 degrees when I got to work this morning, meaning my Gregg’s chicken bake was as good as refrigerated when I finally got to my desk. My extra-hot vanilla latte? Didn’t realise I’d ordered it iced….

But I digress. Basically, what I’m trying to get at is; it is  b l e d d y  f r e e z i n  hun and I want to write about my newest haul from Femme Luxe Finery. They’re an online store that I was initially very skeptical of, but as I’ve tried more of their stuff, I’ve realised it’s not all about the boobalicious models who wear the pieces; it’s more about how you style it. So with that in mind, I decided to dedicate this entire order to cosy winter bits that’ll hopefully make the next few months a touch more tolerable. *hopefully!* Here’s what I got…

★★★☆☆
It’s always funny how I start to feel myself making less and less effort when the weather gets colder. Heck, I’ve been going to work in the pyjama top I wore the night before and just disguising that fact with a bit of deodorant and an oversized jumper. Here’s my current oversized jumper of choice! It’s big and quite unfitted - a bit of a far cry from the usual fashion that Femme Luxe Finery stocks, but I think it’s a pretty good staple jumper. Grey goes with everything and it’s perfect for burrowing down into under the harsh office air-con vents.

★★★☆☆
Someone alert the press…or the authorities…Jasmine is wearing colour?!!?!?! I’m never overly sure about which colours I can get away with since I’m werking the pink ‘do at the moment. I usually stick to my pastels if I’m ever feeling like a splash of colour, but I’m not sure green was my finest choice. The jumper itself is soooo cosy and feels like such good quality [much better than the grey jumper above, I must say]. However, this was described as a jumper-dress, and a jumper-dress it is not. Unless you don’t mind your entire bum being out?

★★★★☆
Well if it isn’t another jumper; I am *shooketh*. This is probably my favourite of the bunch; she’s turtlenecked [WIN], cropped [YAAAAS] and the sleeves are super duper long [BOOYAKA] which means no one needs to see my horrifically grown-out acrylics if I don’t want them to, so they kind of double as gloves. Plus, how can I wear gloves with a touch screen phone? Such are my modern-day first-world problems. On top of all that, I just love white/cream/pale  neutrals for winter because it gets us away from the usual mustards, forest greens and maroons. Le yawn.

Time for the undoubted star of the show - saving the best til last, as they say. I fell so deeply in love with this lounge set once it arrived. When I was placing my order, I was umming and ahhhing about whether it’d look even remotely decent because [as mentioned many times before] the Femme Luxe Finery model do not share the same voluptuous body-type and I didn’t wanna look like a ten-year-old boy dressing up in Kardashian’s clothing. My fears were unfounded, however. This set is a bloody dream. It’s stretchy and the pants are so unbelievably flattering. My only sadness is that the legs are very long, but I’m actually considering getting them taken up a bit. I’m pretty short, so it’s not the trousers’ fault, but I’d honestly live in these if the hems didn’t get wet in rainy weather!

A big thank you again to Femme Luxe Finery for gifting me the bits seen in this post! It’s always a pleasure and I find myself branching out with my style choices more and more, which is always a plus.

Cosy? Check.
Pretty? Check.
Warm? *just-about* check as I am perpetually freezing, but you can’t win ‘em all. I’ll just need to have a permanent flask of tea on the go and I might move my desk a bit closer to a radiator for the upcoming months.

I’m getting really bored of this cold weather now. I know we’ve still got snow and ice to look forward to, but is it ever too early to start dreaming of spring? Although, that’ll of course mean taking out a payday loan to afford enough antihistamine to keep me alive….alright, the sub-zero winds can stay for the time being. Stay rugged-up out there my friends!

Lots of love,
Jasmine x
