Lime Crime Coquette - Review and Swatches!

Hey guys. Today's beauty post is a swatch and review of one of my favourite nude lipsticks. It is, of course, the infamous Coquette by Lime Crime. Loved by YouTubers the world over, this reputable vegan-friendly extremely opaque lipstick seems to have captivated everyone's attention.

The packaging is one of the lipstick's top selling points (as well as its vegan-ness, opacity, longevity, creamy texture and affordability!! Need I say more??). The tube is a wide and attractive purple with silver accents. The logo is metallic and reflective, and the unicorn on the packaging is reflective and silver too! So quirky and cute. The name of the lipstick is on the underside.

So the colour in the tube is a very true nude. Slightly peachier-pinkier than MAC Myth, the colour of Coquette is a neutral, natural lip colour.

The lipstick is extremely creamy in it's texture. It glides very smoothly onto the lips and appears lustrous and thick. As you can see, the colour is very true to what is in the tube. It is extremely opaque, the pigmentation is to die for because literally what you see is what you get.

So on the skin the colour is a pastel peach beige with a slight baby pink undertone (for those of you who prefer a more pinky-nude, try Babette by Lime Crime).

The above picture was taken out of direct sunlight. The lipstick is creamy and highly pigmented. The colour of the lipstick is a true peachy nude and photographs beautifully indoors.

Bare Lips                          Coquette

The above picture was taken in direct sunlight. As you can see, this lipstick is perfect for daytime looks. I love to slap it on for an effortless 'undone' lip look. One pointer I would give, however, is that this lipstick can tend to accentuate any cracks in your lips if there is dryness. Be aware of this and use lipbalms before hand!

love Jasmine xxxx
